About Me

Lorrie holds a Comprehensive Studio Certification from Polestar with 450+ hrs of training.  She began her passion for movement as a gymnast throughout her childhood years until she went to college.   During this time, she had an interest in music and dance and had other interests in sports such as running.  She began distance running before entering college to study Business.  Throughout her business career, she continued running as a hobby and later completed the Honolulu and San Francisco marathons.  In addition to her 7 years of practicing yoga, she believes running to have been a great meditation for her.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, bicycling, yoga and anything that involves improving your health.

After the birth of her son, Lorrie began doing Pilates to strengthen the pelvic floor and to gently ease back into exercise.  With the many benefits of Pilates, she recognized that it created a longer leaner body and it left her pain free.  Studying & practicing Pilates was a newfound passion for her and that started her transition from the business world to become a Pilates Instructor.  Her training began in the US and it was completed in Madrid, Spain.

Prior to coming to CA, she has been teaching in Barcelona, Spain to a wide range of clients and also shares her story working with her pre and post-natal clients.   Her classes are available in English and Spanish and her understanding of each client as unique individual helps in tailoring a custom program that is dynamic and fun!

I have been with Lorrie for 3 years.  She is a very inspirational and motivating kind of instructor.  Her knowledge and expertise with pilates has helped me recover from pregnancy and maintain a strong core.  I have a lot of experience with mat, reformer and cadillac pilates styles.  Lorrie is expert in all of them.  Her approach is to tailor each lesson to her client's individual needs.  If you're looking to invest in private or small group lessons, I would go to Lorrie first.  You won't regret it.  She also is very helpful with children and rehab after injury using pilates.
